Dimsr History

Dimsr was founded in 2019 in Denmark by Kristoffer Marnø. From the beginning, we used 3D printers to create our products, which allowed us to keep startup costs very low since we didn't have any inventory. This also meant that we could offer customized products like our WatchMount with the customer's name printed on top.

For many years, we only had Danish customers, but one day, we got our first Norwegian customer, then the UK, and the Netherlands, and the ball started rolling.

Today, Dimsr is a global company with customers in the USA, Africa, Australia, the Netherlands, Germany, Sweden, Norway, the UK, Thailand, and many other countries. I have tried to get Dimsr on the shelves of Danish kayak shops but without much success.

Our focus has shifted a bit over the years. In 2020, we started making equipment for airsoft, but due to a lack of time and the need to finish high school, this stopped. In 2023, we decided to add outdoor products to the webshop. It went well for about a year, but then it stopped due to the enormous competition in the market, which we couldn't compete with.

Today, in early 2025, Dimsr is a well-known webshop in the kayak world and can often be seen at various kayak races where we stand with smiles, a small booth, and usually sponsor the race with prizes. We have supported events like Støt Brysterne, Amager Rundt, Amager Strandpark Rundt, and DKF O-løb. There is nothing better than getting out and talking to our community in the kayak world, getting new ideas, and putting a face behind Dimsr.

And who runs Dimsr? That would be a young man of just 22 years old. Founded by Kristoffer Marnø in 2019, I started with a single 3D printer and now have three. I am passionate about Dimsr, though I don't have as much time for it anymore since Dimsr unfortunately can't support my financial needs. So, I have a full-time job as a webshop operations manager for a 3D printer store. In other words, I am pretty hooked on the 3D world and love giving advice about starting businesses and 3D printers.

At some point, I would like to see Dimsr become something bigger than it is now, but still retain the classic 3D printing and high quality :)

How Dimsr became Dimsr has taken many years with bumps, a pandemic, full-time work, and long evenings. But I can say today that I am incredibly proud of what I have created. - K. Marnø
